Due: 3/24/16 (Thursday before Spring Break)
Photographer Research
1.Browse the work of the following photographers (they vary in style and decade), and select the one that is the most interesting to you. Keep in mind that some photographers may have worked with subjects not appropriate for school. If you come across an inappropriate image simply navigate away from it and move on.
2.Once you select your photographer, read up on him/her, watch videos of them (if available) and learn as much as you can. While you're at it, save THREE photos of their work to your computer.
3.Log in to weebly, and go to your PAGES tab.
4.Click on your "Responses” Page, and edit.
5.On the left, you should have a menu. Click and drag in “Slideshow” into the page.
6.Upload the THREE photos of their work that you admire most.
7.Click and drag in a text box underneath your photos
8.Title it: “Mid-Term: Photographer Research"
9.Answer the following questions:
1.Which photographer did you choose?
2.When were they born?
3.What subject matter did they work with most? (Portraits? Landscapes? Abstract?)
4.Who do you guess is the audience for their photos? That is to say, who did they take these photos for? (Guess if you are not sure!)
5.What drew you to this photographer? Please explain in a few sentences WHY you appreciate, like, or are interested in this work...
6.What emotions or ideas are they capturing with their photography?
7. Please write a couple sentences about each photo you picked, and what you are most interested in about that photo.
8. These photographers made a career out of doing something they are passionate about and interested in. If you could create a career out of photography or photo editing, what would you want to focus on and why? What would be your most prized shot or work?
